Terms of Service

1. Who we are

FamilyConnect is operated by Sankarapandian, an individual based in Tamil Nadu, India. "We" and "us" mean that person; "you" means the person using the service. Contact: success.pandian@gmail.com.

2. A free beta

FamilyConnect is in public beta and free for everyone. There is no fee, no subscription, and no payment of any kind. In exchange there is no service-level guarantee: the service is provided "as is", may change, break, lose data, or be suspended or discontinued at any time. If we ever introduce paid features, existing users will be told in advance and will not be charged without agreeing first.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to create an account. One account per mobile number. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.

4. Information you enter about others

FamilyConnect only works because people record their relatives. That comes with a duty. By adding a person you confirm that you have a reasonable basis for the information you enter, that you believe it to be accurate, and that you are not entering anything that would embarrass or endanger that person. Do not enter sensitive details about someone that they would not want recorded. If a relative asks you to remove what you entered about them, remove it — or write to success.pandian@gmail.com and we will.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not impersonate anyone, or claim a profile that is not yours.
• Do not use FamilyConnect to harass, threaten, stalk or shame anyone.
• Do not scrape, bulk-export, or automate access to the service, and do not attempt to bypass its authentication, visibility or discovery controls.
• Do not enter false family links, spam, or unlawful content.
• Do not use anyone's data from this service for marketing, matchmaking businesses, caste-based profiling, political canvassing, or any purpose outside connecting with your own family.

6. Your content

What you enter remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, and to display it to other members in accordance with the visibility settings you choose. We do not sell it, publish it, or use it for advertising. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

7. Suspension and termination

You may stop using FamilyConnect at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to success.pandian@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, or that puts other members' safety or privacy at risk — normally with notice, immediately where the risk is serious.

8. No warranty, and limits on liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Kinship terms, relationship suggestions and discovery matches are computed automatically and can be wrong; do not rely on FamilyConnect for legal, inheritance, marriage or medical decisions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When they change materially you will be asked to review and accept the new version the next time you sign in, and the date at the top of this page will change.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
